The MissionMobile’s engine problems have so far proven expensive and difficult to diagnose. So while the car is off the road, I have picked up an inexpensive motorcycle to get around the highways and dirt roads of Mindanao.
Curiously, when people see a cassock, cross, and beard in their rearview mirror, they tend to get out of the way with alacrity! No complaints there.
So the Divine Liturgy in Mindanao churches remains on schedule: as it is written, “Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds,” although to be fair snow has not been a problem.
