Pray for the Philippines
A little over a month ago, in Palo, Philippines, we baptized a small parish community into the Orthodox Church. We were joined by Father Sava, a priest from nearby Tacloban City.
They are in the area most strongly hit by Typhoon Yolanda, which has slammed 200-mph winds into the area. Deaths are only beginning to be reported, since cell towers, roads, and infrastructure are destroyed. We don’t know who has survived, or what their condition is.
Please remember in your prayers the priest Sava, Nikolai, Nectarios, Nicholas, John, Mary, Simeon, and the children John, Samuel, and Anastasia – and all those who are suffering in the Philippines, that God would protect them and save them.
