Liturgy at Palo mission center

Following baptisms for the community in Palo, we traveled to the Mission Center. The Palo faithful meet here several times a week for Typica and Akathists, in a temporary facility on property that has been donated for their use. Near this building we  blessed the place where a new chapel is to be built. We were again joined by Father Sava from Tacloban.

The cross is made of a hard wood called ironwood – it’s surprisingly heavy, and will probably outlast us all!
